Australian airline Virgin Blue said on Wednesday that its international airline subsidiary, Pacific Blue Airlines, is launching a direct service from Perth to Phuket on 14 November 2009.
According to Virgin Blue, Pacific Blue will provide the only direct flights between the destinations.
The twice weekly service will be operated using Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
Flight DJ 4149 will depart Perth at 10:35, arriving in Phuket at 16:20 on Tuesdays and Saturdays. Flight DJ 4148 will depart Phuket at 14:05, arriving in Perth at 21:45 on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
The airline is offering a special fare of AUD299 one-way for the route, which will be available for purchase until midnight on 26 August for travel between 14 November and 12 December 2009 and between 26 January and 30 March 2010.
